Rossetto Portraits
This is one of two “ANGER” portraits, They are owned in the collection of P.Yap
AS an artist who works mostly in an “ABSTRACT” style, word drawing, most people do not realise the skill I had to develop in order to create competent compositions. I developed these skills mostly through figure drawing and portraiture. I haven’t figure drawn in years, and most of the works are destroyed, given away or in a basement in Edmonton, I have always used self portrait to keep my skills honed though. Today I thought I would release some portraits to show my audience some of my other creative skills. These works, just as my figure drawings, where created with the use of continuous. The style I created in before the creation of Automatic Word Drawing. Here are some old portraits all held on to in private collections. At some point when I slow down or find a lover who will sit for me, I plan on continuing figure studies, as I find they are a GREAT way to continually develop drawing and painting skills and keep your hand eye coordination, which is the key to creating great compositions.
